Cédric Jubillar, this 36-year-old plaster painter, will be tried for the murder of his wife Delphine between September and October 2025. Despite the absence of a body and evidence, he is the main suspect in the disappearance and death of his wife. , Delphine, a nurse who disappeared on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020 in Cagnac-les-Mines in Tarn.
He was kept in detention in particular to avoid possible pressure on witnesses or the disappearance of evidence. His release would have been likely to create a serious disturbance to public order, according to the lawyers of Delphine Jubillar's relatives, their clients not being able to have peace of mind if he were free.
Cédric Jubillar will therefore appear in the fall of 2025 before the Tarn Assize Court. “This decision is welcome and will allow my clients to hope to finally obtain answers”reacted in September Mourad Battikh, one of the lawyers for Delphine Jubillar's family, to the announcement of the approach of her trial.
Six months after the disappearance of Delphine, mother of two children, her husband Cédric was indicted for murder and placed in pre-trial detention in June 2021.Delphine's family, after a long and trying wait, is pleased that Cédric Jubillar will finally have to answer for the elements that weigh against him before the trial court.” continues Mourad Battikh.
Cédric Jubillar has always denied being involved in the disappearance of Delphine who has not given any sign of life since the night of December 15 to 16, 2020. But in this case without a body, no confession, no witness, no crime scene, no irrefutable proof, investigators are convinced that Cédric Jubillar killed his wife when she had just announced her intention to divorce.
At the end of 2023, the investigating judges concluded in their indictment order that “all the elements collected during the judicial investigation demonstrate that Cédric Jubillar is the author of the murder of his wife“. After multiple requests for the release of their client, Cédric Jubillar's lawyers filed an appeal against this indictment order, arguing for the presumption of innocence.
The secrecy of the investigation having been very quickly revealed, we can list different elements on which the judge relies. Elements corroborated by the lawyers of the children, parents and friends of the victim. For them, unanimously, the investigators left no leads unanswered: every door would have been open and the investigations would have been carried out seriously and thoroughly.
“They searched, searched… the only possible lead is the husband unless she was kidnapped by a UFOaffirmed Philippe Pressecq, lawyer for two cousins and four close friends of the nurse. Everything he says is false and it has been proven. If they ask you what you did and you lie about everything, you probably have something to hide.”
It is on these lies that the bundle of “serious and consistent” evidence mentioned by the public prosecutor when indicting suspect number one relates. In February 2024, additional information was ordered, leading to new searches and additional hearings. In vain. Cédric Jubillar will therefore have to answer for the murder of Delphine, between September and October 2025 before the Tarn Assize Court.
