Fantasy, fantasy, science fiction and horror are healthy literary fields which also have their fans among adolescents and even children as soon as they are able to read. Some, like JK Rowling and her famous little wizard, have extricated themselves from their primitive sphere of influence to reach a very large audience throughout the world. Médialudo supported this phenomenon throughout the season with a regular event, entitled the Sorcerers’ Book, a reading club for adults during which a group made up of members discussed imaginative literature. This talk was led by Camille Tourneau, a trained librarian, specializing in children’s and imaginative literature. “In this group of 11 people the range of works discussed was very wide. Four meetings of this type were held and the fifth is open to the public, without restriction, today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Odyssud brewery The morning will be devoted to a writing workshop, but it is already full. At 3 p.m. we invite you to a round table around the place of women in imaginative literature.

The authors Estelle Faye and Floriane Soulas will accompany Camille all day and will participate, after the round table, in a signing session in partnership with the bookstore Au fil des mots. Floriane Soulas did an engineering prep course, then a thesis in mechanical engineering. A software engineer, she is now an author of short stories and novels. Estelle Faye, initially in the theater, studied literature at the Sorbonne and a film school. She is now an author of short stories and novels for children and adults. Estelle is very prolific, Floriane a little less. They participated in a collection of “horrific” short stories entitled “We speak from the darkness” published by Goater.

Free and free entry, for for all.
