We do not yet know the reasons for this tragedy but the firefighters of Haute-Garonne may have saved the life of a resident of the commune of Plan this Monday, November 4.
The alert was given early in the afternoon. Several witnesses reported a strong smell of gas coming from a house, located at Impasse du Moulin de la Ville in the town of Le Plan in Haute-Garonne.
After reconnaissance, emergency services entered the house and found a 52-year-old man unconscious on the ground. The victim was in absolute emergency and had to be transferred to the nearest hospital.
Explosimetry readings confirmed the presence of gas and an imminent risk. A total of 9 homes in the area had to be evacuated. The firefighters then activated a fire hose and opened the house to carry out hydraulic ventilation. The security system was lifted an hour later under the authority of the municipality.
