James Middleton recently opened up emotionally about his relationship with his cocker spaniel, Ella. Such a strong bond united the young father and his dog that James wrote a book about him, Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Lifescheduled for release in the United Kingdom on September 26, 2024.
James was 20 when he adopted Ella, his book traces the duo’s fifteen years of happiness, until the death of his dog last year.
By posting a new photo brimming with life, Kate Middleton’s brother clarified the best gift that Ella gave him. It was in fact his beloved dog who allowed him to start his family. On Instagram, James shared an image, taken during the Goodwoof dog festival in May, of his wife, Alizée Thevenetand their young son Inigocuddling two of the family dogs, in a countryside bathed in sunshine.

Middleton attended this festival in West Sussex, on the Goodwood estate, to present her next book. He took the opportunity to share a beautiful anecdote in the caption accompanying the photo: “We owe this special moment to Ella. Let me explain: Alizée, Inigo and the dogs came to listen to me talk about my book for the first time Meet Ella. »
“It was thanks to Ella that I met Alizée, a few years later we got married, and a year later Inigo arrived. Ella and Inigo have never met, but Ella is there with us at every moment. If this moment hadn’t happened… I would never have been able to capture this moment. […] Ella was there at many important moments in my life, including when I met Alizee. Our son was born after Ella died, Inigo never got to meet her, but it is important to me that he knows everything about her. If I wanted to write this book, it was also to be able to tell Inigo the story of my meeting with his mother. »
