“I didn’t intend to kill him. I feel remorse.” These two sentences that a young man had whispered in the ear of his friend while they were sipping black coffee in a café in the Moulay Rachid district of Casablanca were enough for a murder case to be solved.
The case dates back more than a month when the police were alerted by witnesses who witnessed, in the Lahraouiyine region, in Casablanca, a scene of a fight between two individuals, one of whom had a scooter. Eyewitnesses told sleuths that the victim exchanged insults with a young man with a scooter on which he was providing public transport. Immediately, the latter violently mistreated the victim who fell to the ground, blood flowing from his nose, and lost consciousness. While the attacker boarded his scooter and drove off at full speed.

The victim was evacuated to the emergency department at the Moulay Rachid provincial hospital. However, she was then taken, while she was in a pitiful state of health, to the Ibn Rochd hospital. Unfortunately, three days later, she passed away. Investigations were intensified to at least identify the attacker who remained unknown. We had to wait for a police officer in civilian clothes sitting at a café in the Moulay Rachid district to hear the conversation between two friends, one of whom confided to the other that it was he who attacked the victim found in Lahraouiyine, but that he did not expect his death while telling him that he could no longer sleep. The police officer telephoned his manager who mobilized with a police squad to surround the café and arrest the suspect.
