Rayan Cherki after an OL training (credit: Anthony Ravas / O&L)
At just 21 years old, Rayan Cherki already has quite a bit of experience behind him. Friday, in Lille, the offensive player played his 150th professional match with OL.
He would certainly have liked to pass this symbolic milestone with a victory. However, Rayan Cherki can have the feeling of duty accomplished as an individual Lille (1-1). Discreet like the wholeOL During the first 45 minutes, the Lyon number 18 passed the second after the break. This did a lot of good for his team who, strangely, started playing their football again and creating fear in their opponent. When he almost proved to be a decisive passer with a little more skill than Alexandre Lacazette ou Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Cherki found the bar after having mystified the defense of LOSC. This successful second half, including defensive withdrawals, earned him top honors from the editorial staff ofOlympique-et-Lyonnais.
A career average half-time
Not sure that this is enough to make him overcome the frustration of the draw. But he tried and did well in his 150th professional match. At only 21 years old, Rayan Cherki has in fact already passed this symbolic milestone, even if in terms of playing time, it remains quite little. Indeed, many of his appearances have come off the bench since his debut in 2020 and with 7,015 minutes played at his training club, this amounts to an average of one half played since his debut (46.7 minutes ). However, the recent outings of the international Espoirs seem to show a milestone in regularity. The start of the long-awaited outbreak?
