In rugby, VRDR plays Friday evening in front of the biggest crowd of the season so far at the Pompidou stadium. Nearly 6,000 spectators are expected to attend this gala display, the reception of Brive, the ogre of Pro D2, ranked 2nd when the Drôme rugby players are 16th and last. This season, the VRDR has six defeats and two victories including the one in Nice (24-19) last week. Repeating this will be a big challenge for the Drômois but everything is in place to make the evening a great success, believes Fabien Fortassin, the manager of Valence-Romans. “It will be a day of celebration at Pompidou, we want to be up to the task. (…) We want to move these Brivists, they are very massive. We will not have to play in something that suits them too much.” Follow the VRDR against Brive live and in full like every match evening on France Bleu Drôme Ardèche.
