It was a somewhat exceptional sale which took place online and which concerned 5 houses owned by the CCAS (central fund for social activities) of Yonne in Auxerre.

The 5 houses have found buyers, a boon for construction enthusiasts, because the advertisements stipulate: “Major renovation work to be planned, in particular asbestos removal and improvement of energy performance”.
But also a bargain thanks to an interesting location 1 km from the city center of Auxerre and close to the SNCF station.

The hammer prices are between €46,000 and €47,000 including tax. For some houses, the bids went up to €20,000 more than the initial price. The sale took place online on a specialized domain sales site, between October 29 and 31.

According to some residents, the homes would require major work: “Work? There is some to do. The electricity needs to be completely redone, there is no shower, the hotplates we don't know what they are like, the infiltration, perhaps…”
