Two days after the expulsion of Doctor Turki, unions and health personnel came to question the Renaissance deputy for South Aveyron, Jean-François Rousset.

The mobilization of caregivers from the Millau mental health center, no more than the rally organized last Tuesday in front of the gates of the Aveyron sub-prefecture or the 3,500 signatures of the petition posted online “against the threat of imminent expulsion of a psychiatrist from South Aveyron” were not enough.

Friday, Doctor Turki, Tunisian of origin and practicing in Millau for 18 months, took the road to the airport, ordered by the French State to execute an obligation to leave the territory (OQTF) ordered by the prefecture of Aveyron. Faced with this situation, which many consider “inept”, a delegation of doctors, hospital staff and the CGT-Sud inter-union organization held a meeting on Monday with MP Jean-François Rousset.

“We questioned him regarding the expulsion of Doctor Turki and the emergency in which psychiatry in South Aveyron has found itself since his departure organized by the Regional Health Agency and the prefect of Aveyron, develops the inter-union. No better concerning “the desires of the Sainte-Marie Hospital in Rodez (Cayssiols) to absorb the psychiatry sector of South Aveyron”; the concern of staff regarding the common hospital or the South Aveyron medical project where “there is never any question of the psychiatry center”; “the danger weighing on certain services such as biology, pharmacy, cooking”, develops the inter-union which from MP Rousset will only receive a laconic: “Continue to be vigilant.” Response very far from the expectations of staff and unions who hesitate between “inaction or powerlessness” regarding the parliamentarian’s involvement. In one sentence: “But what is our deputy Rousset doing?”
