Terrible accident in Maisons-Alfort (Val-de-Marne). A 13-year-old child was violently hit by a driver, riding a scooter this Friday, November 22, 2024, learned Paris news with the Créteil public prosecutor's office. The young teenager was transported in absolute emergency to Necker hospital (Paris, 9th) with his vital prognosis engaged. He suffered a head injury and broken legs.
The child projected “five to six meters”
It was 6 p.m. this Friday when the schoolboy crossed a pedestrian crossing after leaving his school. It was at this moment that he was hit by a scooter which had just run the red light. According to the prosecution, the child would have “fallen five to six meters”.
The driver of the scooter then fled, but six witnesses, present on the spot, managed to note his license plate and transmitted it to the authorities. In the evening, the man, born in 1988 and already known to the courtswas arrested at his home in Maisons-Alfort. Placed in police custody, he was tested positive for alcohol and drugs.
An investigation was opened for “unintentional injuries with aggravating circumstances”, “violation of a safety obligation” (for running the red light) and “hit and run”. She was entrusted to the Maisons-Alfort police station.
