The tense match between and Israel in two weeks is bound to cause a lot of talk in the political sphere.

Scheduled at the Stade de France on November 14, the match between France and Israel is starting to top the news. The Jewish state is at the heart of a conflict which continues to grow in the Middle East, and its military offensives, particularly air offensives, are widely criticized, including in the Western world. Its football team cannot therefore play its matches at home, despite its rise in Group A of the Nations League, the strongest European level. On the first leg, the French team faced Israel in Hungary, but the return will take place in Saint-Denis.

A gauge revised downwards?

A holding of the match to which the deputy La France Insoumise fiercely opposed, even asking for the cancellation of the meeting. “ I want this match not to take place, according to article 4 of the FIFA statutes which explains that universal human rights must be respected. Fifa has sometimes applied these sanctions to other countries, but on the other hand, when it comes to the policy of the Israeli government, we do absolutely nothing.denounced Louis Boyard on Sud Radio, who was told that the meeting would take place, even if adjustments were possible.

« The meeting will be held in Saint-Denis, and we will of course adapt the security system. A falling gauge? This is something we are currently studying. », Bruno Retailleau said on BFM. The Minister of the Interior would have preferred that the match be moved to the Parc des Princes, with a smaller capacity and better control possible, particularly in the arrival areas. Two weeks before the match, rapid decisions should now be made for this international meeting which will be closely watched, and not only in terms of football.
