Industry Week: visit to Corsica Sole and presentation of the 2030 plaque – 2030 – News

Updated on 21/11/2024

On the occasion of Industry Week (from November 18 to 24, 2024), Mr. Michel Prosic, Prefect of Haute-Corse, welcomed students from the Paul Vincensini Technical School and the Martime High School in to the solar power plant in Corsica Sun

The teams from Corsica Sole, leader in solar energy storage in Europe, were able to demonstrate their professions and know-how to the students on site, who also had the opportunity to visit the Folell'Hy solar power plant.

Folell'Hy will use a 30 Nm³/h electrolyser, storing up to 100 kg of hydrogen, connected to an existing 12 MWp solar power plant. The hydrogen produced will notably power the Alba training ship of the Lycée Maritime de Bastia, which was inaugurated on Friday November 15. The students who will use this training ship discovered where their boat produces hydrogen.

Corsica Sole is the winner of the I-NOV competition wave 11, for the AlcHYmiste project which consists of the production by photovoltaic panels and the storage of hydrogen in order to power refueling points and future power stations converted to hydrogen. The amount of aid is €1,710,773.

The Prefect presented with great pleasure the 2030 plaque to the Corsica Sole teams.
