The figures collected show a drop in activity for the year 2023: – 12%. Which makes sense since real estate activity has declined across the country. “This decline can be explained by the current situation, which makes access to property more difficult,” notes Frédéric Dumoulin, notary in Durbuy, on this subject. “The cost of living is higher due to inflation, and we have seen an increase in interest rates and a tightening of banking requirements, particularly in terms of energy performance.
