the essential
A few days before the two concerts they will give at home, at the Toulouse Stadium, Bigflo & Oli have revealed the outlines of this meeting which will bring together nearly 30,000 fans each evening.

“Since this morning and for 10 days, a huge construction site has been taking place at the Toulouse Stadium, with 40 semi-trailers of equipment and 850 people,” Samuel Capus, associate director of Bleu Citron Productions, said on Monday. in charge of Bigflo and Oli’s tours.

For several months, the two rappers have been preparing these two new dates, June 8 and 9, five years after organizing their first concerts in the grounds of small Wembley, where they are used to vibrating for the TFC. But this time, they are the ones expected on the lawn. “One day we said to ourselves that there was a way to remake a Stadium. We hesitated, the magic happened once and maybe we are playing with fire. Because making stadiums is a lot of costs, it’s not something financially secure. We would have added three Zéniths instead, we would be armored”, said Bigflo with a laugh, 5 days before the first concert.

Whatever. The two brothers from Minimes decided to take this risk and not skimp on the means for these two dates in front of their audience, their loved ones and even their former teachers. That’s almost 30,000 people every evening.

“Over the two evenings, we will have a show with 500 connected drones, it’s a first for a music show, they synchronize and create scenes. There will also be fireworks,” explains Oli, delighted to to be able to play at home again and who hopes “that even those who don’t like Bigflo & Oli can come and see something amazing”.

During previous concerts at the Stadium, five years ago, a hanging moon landed in the sky in front of a captivated audience. This year again, the scenography will be worked on, “we also learned from last time, we improved certain things, like the size of the screen or the sound feedback”, assures Oli. One thing, however, has not changed according to them: “The Stadium is still not suitable for concerts. We would however like to see Dua Lipa or Travis Scott in concert in Toulouse”, pleads Florian.

Quarter hour from Toulouse

Despite these technical and financial challenges, the two brothers remain mobilized more than ever to make it a success. And for this they put all the ingredients that they master. They have invited other people to join them on stage, including “a big guest” who will be present both evenings.

“We also decided to organize a quarter of an hour in Toulouse, with only artists from Toulouse, a way of retracing the history of Toulouse music,” explains Florian. From yesterday’s lyric singers to today’s rappers, seven actors from the Pink City’s music scene will be present over these two evenings.

And in line with what they are doing with “le Tremplin Rose”, they have planned times when young talents can perform on stage. This will be the case during their first part where spectators will be able to see Olympe Chabert who has just released a single, the young rapper from Montpellier Carbonne who is a hit on Spotify at the moment, or even the very crazy Julien Granel.

“And on a stage outside, on the Stadium square, groups will play when the doors open at 6 p.m., like Jethro, the young rapper from Toulouse, winner of the first edition of the Tremplin Rose. “To us to return the ball. We used Toulouse, it’s up to us to help young musicians”, concludes Bigflo, ready to hold the marathon which is planned until Saturday.

* There are still places left for the Sunday evening concert.
