Bonchamp (R3) managed to match the Laval residents (N2) for two minutes. Then, Gelu’s partners only took eight minutes to come back to the locals (30-30), who benefited from a bonus, before taking control for good.
Slightly in the lead after one quarter (31-37), Laval then moved up a gear, despite Bonchamp’s defensive changes. 39-67 at the break then 53-99 after three periods.
Loïc Rovelli’s players, however, never gave up. Each of their baskets was greeted by the large audience. For his part, Sébastien Cartier took the opportunity to review his team and give playing time to those who usually have less time. The final score is anecdotal.
