Emotions are very strong after the death of Paul, this 27-year-old cyclist, crushed by an SUV while he was driving in the French capital.

After the numerous testimonies, it was his mother and his brother who spoke on RTL. “Tuesday evening, my life turned upside down. How are we going to manage to live with this? What will our taste of life be? », asks his mother.

For her, the accident theory is impossible. And his second son agrees. “This person intentionally rushed towards him. Paul was in front, the person accelerated, passed over him twice, front wheel, rear wheel, (…) We cannot say that it was an accident, that is not possible. All this for an altercation. The war between bikes and cars makes no sense. »

Initially, the family was not given all the details of the accident. “We learned from the newspapers that it was not as simple as that, that it was very, very serious. That it was murder. There are no other words,” points out the brother.

For the family, the shock is terrible to bear. “I lost my son, someone killed my son,” says the mother. “Our Christmases together, our vacations together, all these moments, they will no longer exist… It’s horrible. What’s worse for a mom or dad than losing a child? »

The driver of the SUV who ran over Paul denies the murder and assures that it was an accident. This, however, does not fit with the testimonies collected on site.
