The 20th Technotrans show ends on October 18, at the exhibition center (-Atlantique). During this 2024 edition, the Handi’Truck won the Technotrans Inclusive trophy, that is to say for the product or service promoting inclusiveness in the world of road transport and industrial vehicles.

Technotrans, the industrial vehicle show in the Grand Ouest region, brought together more than 170 exhibitors around the themes of decarbonization, new technologies, autonomous trucks, but also the evolution of professions and employment. On October 16, the organizers awarded the 4 CSR Trophies. Handi’Truck was awarded the inclusiveness trophy.

Accessibility to the profession of road driver. « This trophy highlights what several players in the sector, including Aftral and Opco Mobilités, have achievedrejoices Laurent Pottier, project manager at Agefiph. Handi’ Truck provides accessibility to the profession of road driver for people with locomotor disabilities or deafness. This sends the message that we have adapted tools and that we can train people with disabilities ».

Respond to multiple requests. « We still see today, here at Technotrans, that people with disabilities are becoming aware that tools exist, that people are changing situations, that regulations are also evolving, that companies are demanding solutions, continues Valérie Lardière, Disability project manager at Aftral. There we provide an answer for everyone ».

And 3! In March 2024, the Handi’Truck had already won an award during the meeting of progress activators at the university of the Agefiph disability referent network in . He also won the People’s Favorite prize. “ This summed up the resonance that this truck has with the public », enthuses Valérie Lardière.

Over time. The Handi’Truck was built over nearly three years, between the idea and the first training. The hardest part is perhaps yet to come, to make the tool known and why not have other Handi’Trucks to make up for the gap in the rate of access to employment for people with disabilities.

Also read: Handi Truck, a school truck accessible to disabled people, was inaugurated by Opco Mobilités, Agefiph and Aftral, on March 22 at the Carré des Docks in Le Havre (Seine-Maritime), in the presence of Florence Guillaume, interministerial delegate to Road Safety. This equipped carrier should make it possible to pass licenses to these candidates.
