On the occasion of the release of the film Doctor? in which he plays the role of a doctor, the actor then returned to this drama which had affected him in the middle of filming.
Michel Blanc: his touching confidences on the death of his father
Indeed, during the recording of this film, Michel Blanc will learn of the death of his father: “Make-up at 6 p.m., and then boom, it was on until 4 or 5 a.m. It was exhausting, especially since I lost my father during this time”he confided. So, to heal his wounds, he dove headlong into work: “Weirdly, playing this Serge, going out of his way to make others laugh while laughing at Hakim Jemili’s jokes, helped me overcome this ordeal”.
His character then allowed him not to sink: “He doesn’t take gloves with the patients, which leads to some pretty funny situations. But the interest of the film lies in his meeting with Malek, who will help Serge to accept again to love and to be loved, while Serge will convince Malek to aim higher.”
His vision of death
Recently, Michel Blanc raised the question of death and the passing of time: “Oh well definitely yes. I’m not keen on the idea… And then I’m terribly afraid of being bored afterwards. Because I get bored easily, so eternity, can you imagine! It’s going to be very long.”he said, always full of humor.
As for the idea of a superior divinity who could welcome him, Michel Blanc retorted: “That doesn’t necessarily make me desperate, it depends on what’s next, because given what the churches tell us… Well… No, that doesn’t seem very attractive to me. And hey, that’s life and even if there comes a time when it has to stop, it’s annoying. I don’t want it to be here right now.”
