The firefighters were called upon several times, early this Thursday, October 17, after the intense rainfall which fell on Nord-Isère and which continued this morning.
Several flooding of roads and cellars have been reported in different sectors: agglomeration of Roussillon, Saint-Clair-du-Rhône, Chonas-l’Amballan, Reventin-Vaugris, Pont-Évêque… Several roads are impassable such as the RN7 at Reventin-Vaugris or the road from Cancane to Pont-Évêque.
In Reventin-Vaugris, torrential rains washed away part of the RN7 roadway at Chemin de l’Aubressin. Several cars found themselves trapped by the muddy water rushing down the path before accumulating on the RN7. The road was closed to traffic by highway officials.
In Estrablin, the RD41 is also closed to traffic due to an accident: a truck went into a ditch. A local diversion has been put in place.
While the RN7 was closed to traffic between Vaugris and Saint-Christ in Reventin-Vaugris, traffic is transferred to the CD4 between Vienne and Les Roches-de-Condrieu where traffic is very complicated.
Eight school buses heading towards establishments in Vienna are currently stuck in traffic jams, on the way up the Grands Pavés going downhill, leading to Reventin-Vaugris where the RN7 is closed to traffic.
In Chuzelles, the Leveau road leading to Vienne is closed to traffic.
