Vhe symbol, Mons was in fact this October 13, in this case a symbol of socialist resistance after the famous “blue wave” in the legislative elections of June 9. The reigning mayor, Nicolas Martin, does not give in, where Georges-Louis Bouchez, president of the MR, head of the “Mons en better” list, even hoped to make him bite the dust. Nothing like that.
The Mayor’s List is maintained, repeating its performance from 2018 (Nicolas Martin then presented himself under the PS banner): it comes well ahead, its leader is master of the game for the constitution of the college, and to govern the city for six years moreover.
