Mayor: Luc Wouters (CD&V)
Majority: CD&V (11) a N-VA (3)
Opposition: Vooruit (4), Green (3), Open VLD (1) and independent (1)

New cycle paths, sewers, the Municipal Square, sustainable youth classrooms… CD&V and N-VA are proud of their achievements and speak of a successful collaboration. However, The Municipal Vote Test shows that they do not always agree. For N-VA, a merger is inevitable in the long term, while CD&V will stick to cooperation. Yet that does not seem to be an objection for a new coalition, although N-VA hopes for additional seats and more than one aldermanship. Team 3560 has two seats fewer than CD&V and wants to become the largest. Can the united opposition threaten Mayor Luc Wouters? He scored more than 40 percent in 2012 and 2018. Defeating him will be quite a challenge.
