Algeria Football – With the imminent arrival of the October training camp, the coach of the Algerian team, Vladimir Petkovic, has a new scorer.
The midfielder of the Algerian team, Houssem Aouar is making headlines in the Saudi “Roshn League” championship for the 2024-2025 season. Arriving this summer at Al-Ittihad from AS Roma, Aouar has already scored 4 goals in 5 days, thus placing himself among the top scorers in the championship.
Thanks to this great performance, Aouar is placed in third position in the scorers’ ranking, tied with Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, player of the Al-Nassr club. A remarkable feat for the midfielder trained at Olympique Lyonnais, who quickly adapts to his new team.
At the top of this ranking, we find Serbian Aleksandar Mitrović, Al-Hilal striker, with 7 goals. He is closely followed by Frenchman Karim Benzema, Aouar’s teammate at Al-Ittihad, with 6 goals.
With this impressive start to the season, Houssem Aouar proves that he is a key piece of Al-Ittihad’s offensive system. His rapid adaptation to Saudi football and his consistency in front of goal suggest a promising season for him and his club.
