Objective: the quarter-finals of the Concacaf Nations League and, as a bonus, qualification for the preliminary round of the 2025 Gold Cup. Suffice to say that the stakes of the Guadeloupe/ match this Friday afternoon are high. The Gwadaboys must put an end to a succession of meetings, between the two French territories of the Antilles, where they lost.

The football match to follow this Friday afternoon (October 11, 2024), from 4:00 p.m., from the Roger Zami du Gosier stadium, is a derby of the French Antilles: it pits the selection of Guadeloupe against that of Martinique.

After their first two matches, against Costa Rica and Suriname, the Guadeloupeans are fourth in their group, with 3 points tied with Suriname, who have a better goal difference.

Martinique, which conceded a draw on its lawn against Guyana, is last with one point.

As a reminder, Jocelyn Angloma’s team inherited Group A, alongside Costa Rica, Guatemala, Martinique, Suriname and Guyana. It is a balanced group, where Costa Rica is the favorite.
