Jürgen Klopp. How much will he earn at Red Bull?

Jürgen Klopp has more than halved his salary to join Red Bull, but the job will be subject to less pressure.

At the same time as his future and new employer Red Bull, Jürgen Klopp formalized his return to professional life this week. Resting since the end of June and his departure from the Liverpool Reds which he coached, the German will return to service in a role of football director for the Austrian group.

Klopp will take up his position on January 1, he will manage and supervise the clubs associated with the energy drink giant, in particular RB Leipzig in Germany and RB Salzburg in Austria, where the brand is a premium shareholder, but also the future entrant, FC (Red Bull taking 15% of the club’s capital).

A salary more than twice lower than that of Liverpool FC

For this role, less exposed in the media and apparently much less stressful, the 57-year-old technician will earn half as much and more than with the Mersey club which he left a year before the end of his contract. At Liverpool, his salary was around 20 million euros per year. With Red Bull, it will be eight to eleven million euros per year, according to data published by the German media, Bild.
