This Thursday morning, a van leaving the Banque de was attacked in the city center of (Isère).

The armed criminals fled.

It was around 10:30 a.m. that the attack took place this Thursday morning, in the city center of Grenoble. According to initial information, a van carrying funds was attacked at Cours Berriat, very close to Cours Jean-Jaurès.

A police source told the LCI-TF1 editorial staff that two Mercedes vehicles blocked a van from the Loomis company which was leaving the Bank of France with 1 million euros and opened fire.

The criminals fled

The criminals did not steal anything during this attack.

Two minor injuries

The Grenoble public prosecutor, Eric Vaillant, who went to the site, indicated at 11:15 a.m. that there had been “two minor injuries linked to road accidents caused by the event and by a shattered glass”. The magistrate formally contests the rumor of a deceased person.

At 12:15 p.m., the magistrate announced that the Specialized Inter-Regional Jurisdiction (Jirs) of had taken up this attack and that he would no longer communicate.

Shortly after 4 p.m., the Lyon prosecutor’s office confirmed the information. “The Grenoble public prosecutor’s office relinquished responsibility today in favor of the Lyon JIRS public prosecutor’s office from the investigation opened following the attack on an armored van that occurred this morning in Grenoble. The investigations entrusted to the National Directorate of the Judicial Police (DNPJ) and the South-East Zonal Directorate of the National Police (DZPN) are actively pursuing charges of attempted theft with weapons in an organized gang and participation in a criminal association with a view to preparing a crime”he explains.
