With these changes made by Bouygues Telecom, speeds increase considerably but in return, prices increase to justify this boost.
Three internet boxes benefit from a speed boost
The Bbox fit, entry-level offer, goes from a speed of 400 Mb/s to 600 Mb/s symmetrical. It is therefore the fastest box without TV on the market compared to competing operators.
Then, the Bbox Must benefits from a double download speed reaching 2 Gb/s. The sending speed increases from 700 Mb/s to 900 Mb/s. As a reminder, this offer is already one of the most popular from Bouygues Telecom. Improving speeds makes it more attractive.
Finally, the high-end Bbox Ultym offer also benefits from improvements. Previously billed at an additional €2 per month, the Debit+ option is included, at no additional cost. If you are eligible for XGS-PON fiber, speeds reach up to 8 Gb/s download and 1 Gb/s upload.
New prices for these internet boxes
But as explained in the introduction, these improvements are accompanied by a price increase. The price of the Bbox fit does not change but those of the Bbox Must and the Bbox Ultym increase by €2, going to €41.99 and €49.99 per month respectively. The first year’s promotional rates remain intact.
Bouygues Telecom also offers something new for the Bbox Must: the TV decoder is Wi-Fi compatible for a wireless connection to the modem. The option was previously billed at an additional €2 per month.
