This theme is becoming more popular as the years go by. As part of the 35th SISM (mental health information week), the CPTS association (territorial professional health community) of the Carcassonne basin is organizing a public health action on October 14. The event will take place within the Jardins d’Arcadie residence and will therefore be aimed at elderly people.

Entitled “Senior Well-Being”, the operation will take place throughout the afternoon, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. It is co-financed by the town hall, Carcassonne Agglo, the Aude department, the CPTS as well as the French mutual insurance company. However, those wishing to go there will have free access. In total, seven different workshops will be available to those aged 60 and over: theater, self-massage and relaxation, moving to music, making music, painting, photography, adapted yoga as well as the creation of energizing infusions and the use of essential oils. .

Through this approach, the CPTS intends to raise awareness around the psychological effects caused by “isolation, anxiety, loss of vitality linked to the change in social status (retirees)” as well as “economic difficulties”.
