The Valentin-Haüy Association committee, under the chairmanship of Daniel Guerbois, brought together its beneficiaries for its annual report.
Highlights
Sight Day was a great success. Likewise, a disability awareness day was organized by the local mission, with exhibition of equipment and numerous exchanges with young people.
The year was also marked by the reception of the AVH cyclo-tandem team from Vaucluse, as part of the Marseille-Paris Games Crossing. The first reception took place in Saint-Léon, in the presence of Gilbert Montagné, the second in Moulins at the Palais des sports. The team then traveled to Paris, the day before the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games.
The financial report shows a slight deficit, mainly due to heating and telephone expenses.
Actions 2024-2025
Several projects were discussed: presentation of adapted equipment, sight day Saturday October 12, in the presence of Marc Aufrant
end-of-year meal Saturday December 14, galette des rois on January 25 at Sésame.
Walks with the Avermois Hikers Association will continue, as will introductory courses in Braille, computers and telephony.
Marc Aufrant is a director of the Valentin-Haüy Association, delegate for the association’s international activities and member of the world braille council.
