There was the pandemic and then the illness. Celine Dion’s professional life was put on pause for a long period. For a few months now, the star’s outings have become more frequent. Could this be a harbinger of a great comeback? The rumor machine says yes!

In the last winter days of 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared that the covid-19 epidemic had become a pandemic. Like several other show business stars, Celine Dion was touring the world with a show. The global event obviously forced the postponement and cancellation of several performances of his tour Courage.
A few months later, we learned that Celine Dion was going to perform in a brand new residency show. Bye-byethe famous Colosseum at Caesars Palace. For this third residency show, Céline Dion and her team chose the large and new room built within the giant Resorts World in Las Vegas, a casino-hotel complex obviously located on the Strip and not far from Caesars Palace. However, a few weeks before the premiere, on November 5, 2021, news is making the rounds around the planet: Céline Dion is forced to postpone her arrival at Resorts World due to health problems. We learned some time later, from the star’s own mouth, that she suffered from stiff person syndrome (Moersch-Woltman syndrome). In a video, she explained the ailment that was ailing her, saying she was focused on her health and was hopeful she was on the right track.
Besides the release of the film Love again (Love Again) in May 2023 — in which she plays a small role alongside Priyanka Chopra, Sam Heughan et Russell Tovey — and a surprise appearance at the Grammy Awards, it’s dead calm on the star’s side until the release of the feature-length documentary I am: Celine Dion (I Am: Celine Dion), in which we can see Celine Dion working very hard to adapt to her medical condition. The film, which broke viewing records, even shows us the star during a severe crisis of the illness which overwhelms him. The sequence is striking.
Back in the city of lights

The machine is racing
After a few weeks of silence, Celine Dion is once again coming to the forefront, once again creating a big buzz. The singer appears in a L’Oréal Paris video advertisement likely filmed in 2019, the year which marks the start of her collaboration with the famous beauty and cosmetics company. We can see the elegantly dressed star walking towards the camera and repeating the slogan: “You’re Worth It» («You are worth it“). The 12-second video was released to promote the L’Oréal Paris fashion show, which took place last week at the Place de l’Opéra Garnier in the City of Lights. Among the celebrities who took part in the parade, we could see among others Jane Fonda, Eva Longoria et Kendall Jenner. The promotional video, published on Celine Dion’s Instagram account, has accumulated more than two million views in 24 hours. Again, many are wondering about the possible return of the singing star to the forefront of the show-business. Rumors are rife. It was mentioned on the web that a contract had been signed for a new approximately 70 minute residency show in Las Vegas. Is this true? We still don’t know. Celine Dion’s team is taking its time to announce the news. No doubt an elaborate marketing plan has been carried out and in due course we will know a little more about these other rumors which speak of the release of a new album in English, followed by another in the language of Molière, then a major participation in a feature film. If we trust the buzz created in Paris during the Olympics and at the time of the release of the L’Oréal Paris promotional video, we can reasonably argue that Celine Dion is expected. Highly anticipated. But first, the star has a wedding to organize!
