On Tuesday October 1, 2024, the site specializing in real estate advertisements SeLoger.com published its barometer of prices in France for the purchase and rental of property.
Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) is escaping the national trend of falling prices, with continued increases for several months. Within the city, here are the three neighborhoods that are most attractive and most expensive to afford an apartment or house.
Prices are rising in Nice
To invest in housing in Nice, you need an average of 5,207 euros per square meter, placing the Riviera capital as the second most expensive in France, behind Paris and ahead of Lyon.
“Despite a general drop in apartment prices in the ten largest cities in France (-1.7% over one year), Nice stands out with a slight increase of +1% in one year,” assures SeLoger.com.
Demand supports these price increases with an increase of almost +4% in the number of potential buyers compared to the previous year after a drastic drop in the second half of 2023 (-23% between May 2023 and January 2024).
