The youngest member of the French team (13 years old since March) hit hard by winning her two series in the first round U16 and U18 of the junior world championships, which began this weekend in El Salvador. And Tya Zebrowski is not hiding, she is hoping for two gold medals!

How do you feel after entering the competition on Saturday in U16 and Sunday in U18?
I feel confident. I was really happy for my Saturday series at El Sunzal. Today (last night), I’m happy because I managed to get another 9 pts, but I’m also disappointed not to have been able to express myself more and have a back up (a second good wave, editor’s note). But I’m happy, I passed and this is only the beginning. There are still billions of series (smile). We have to stay in the rhythm and we will see.

A word about the French team and your third selection for the Worlds?
I know the French team well, it’s been 2 years since I was selected. I’ve always dreamed of the French team, so it’s super cool. This year, the team is great and there is a great atmosphere!

El Salvador succeeded in 2022 with a U16 final at just 11 years old. What are your ambitions this year?
Two years ago here I finished fourth in the final. I hope I can do better. I hope to have both gold medals in both categories.
