The New York Red Bulls, with Dante Vanzeir, lost 6-2 to Inter Miami on Saturday in Major League Soccer, the North American football championship.

Vanzeir gave the New York Red Bulls the lead in the 30th minute after recovering a ball knocked off the post, scoring his second goal of the season. The former Union Saint-Gilloise player then attended the festival of Lionel Messi, who scored a goal and provided five assists in the second half.

The Argentinian first gave the ball 1-1 to Matias Rojas (48th) before giving his team the advantage two minutes later. The eight-time Ballon d’Or then offered another assist to Rojas (62nd) then served Luis Suarez three times (69th, 75th and 81st). Emil Forsberg (90th+7) reduced the gap at the end of the match. Vanzeir was replaced in the 82nd minute.

DC United, with Christian Benteke lined up throughout the match, was held to a 2-2 draw by Philadelphia after leading 2-0. Cristian Dajome (9th) gave the advantage to the capital franchise. Jacob Murrell (33rd) doubled the lead, Benteke finding himself at the start of the action with a deflection of the head. Alejandro Bedoya (42nd) and Jack McGlynn (79th) allowed Philadelphia to come back.

Charlotte, where Brecht Dejaegere played 86 minutes, beat Portland 2-0 thanks to Nikola Petkovic (54th) and Enzo Copetti (90th + 1).

Inter Miami remains at the top of the Eastern Conference with 24 points. The New York Red Bulls, who have not won their last four games, occupy fourth position with 17 units. Charlotte (7th), Philadelphia (8th) and DC United (9th) all have 14 points. Portland (10 points) is 11th in the West.
