The eighth season of Married at first sight reserved its share of surprises and emotions for viewers. Among the couples formed by the show’s experts, the union of Ludivine and Raphaël particularly marked the spirits. From their first meeting in Gibraltar, an undeniable chemistry was established between them. Despite Ludivine’s apprehensions regarding the size of her future husband, emotion took over when the two candidates found themselves face to face.
Under the watchful eye of their families and friends, the couple seemed to be in perfect love. However, a discussion put Ludivine’s budding happiness to the test. The revelation of their age difference, marked by three years apart, sparked questions for the young bride. She expressed her concerns, notably by comparing their respective romantic pasts. Fortunately, Raphaël was able to allay Ludivine’s fears by assuring her that her age posed no problem.
Raphaël, too focused on the physical?
The young man seems to only remember the positive from this experience. However, there is one detail that seems to have upset him. Raphaël gave an interview to Bordeaux News. In the columns of our colleagues, he explains that“from the moment we are filmed, everything is true. Well, during the interview hours, obviously they [la production, ndlr] keep what they need and some things stand out more than others.” And that’s what bothers the young groom. Ludivine’s husband did not appreciate the portrait that appeared on the screen. He was portrayed as someone who is “stuck on appearance” and that “can’t get past the smallest physical detail.” Which he is not, he says. “In reality, I am not more focused on the physical than anyone else, it was very accentuated in the portrait. It doesn’t represent me. I’m more of a simple, natural person who likes to laugh.”Fortunately, he explains, the public saw it clearly!
