Fifty firefighters from the centers of Châteaudun, Bonneval, Brou, Arrou (Vald’Yerre), Bailleau-le-Pin, Lucé, Alluyes and were mobilized.

Eleven machines were used, including a 10,000 liter tanker truck, to deal with water supply difficulties.

Around midnight, the extinguishing was done using three lances, but a fourth was also used on a large scale.

“The thatch burns and is consumed, it is therefore necessary to remove it,” indicated the column leader, Captain David Coeur-Joly

For the firefighters, this intervention, in the middle of flames and thick smoke, was not without risk.
