Julie Hammett temporarily leaves BFMTV for maternity leave, Perrine Storme replaces her

Julie Hammett, a familiar face to BFMTV viewers, announced her temporary departure from the air for maternity leave during her show “Julie until midnight”, broadcast this Thursday. The journalist, who has been working every evening from 10 p.m. to midnight since January, confirmed that she would be absent for a few months and would return in February 2025.

During the show, Julie Hammett made this announcement at the start and end of the program, addressing in particular her guest, Charles Consigny, joking about reading her book during her leave. She also thanked her teams, in particular her editor-in-chief Hélène Favier, as well as the viewers for their loyalty: “Thank you for supporting me every evening, we’ll see you in February! “.

Perrine Storme, also a journalist on BFMTV, will take over from Monday to present the nightly show during her absence. Perrine Storme responded to Julie Hammett via the social network X, thanking her for her trust and assuring that she would take care of the show during this period.

Julie Hammett, a rising figure on BFMTV, joined the channel as co-host of 8 p.m.-9 p.m. alongside Laurent Ruquier in September 2023. After this show was stopped due to disappointing audiences, she took the reins of “Julie until midnight” in January 2024, a program that she described at the time as a “great challenge”. She confirmed her return for February 2025, thus marking the end of this temporary parenthesis.
