During the last municipal council meeting, elected officials debated the increase in prices and the quality of school canteen meals, raising concerns among parents.
Meeting in public session, the municipal council confirmed, from the first deliberation on the agenda, the allocation of the competition fund of the sum of 50,000 euros allocated by the community of communes in favor of the creation of the multi-service center.
Meal prices to rise by 30 cents
After approving the billing agreement for the provision of school restaurant meals, a broad discussion began on the price of meals, which increased by 30 cents to 3.50 euros, and on the quality of the meals. Several elected officials agreed: “He reports to his parents that the meals are not good and the portions served are very small.”. Voices were also raised about the cost of the menus: “The price of the meal is exorbitant, parents pay a lot for the school canteen.” The mayor pointed out, however, that the price of meals did not include the cost of delivery, which is covered by the CCRLCM. The council validated the subscription to the statutory insurance contract, a contract relating to the territorial public service, proposed and subscribed to by the management center 11. The deliberative assembly subsequently approved the municipality’s coverage of the participation of the mayor and/or deputies in the annual congress of mayors of France. The elected officials voted for tax exemption in favor of buildings located in the France ruralités revitalisation zone attached to an establishment meeting the required conditions. The council renewed the agreement concerning the operation of the Wednesday after-school activity with the municipality of Ornaisons for the period from September 2, 2024 to July 4, 2025; its cost amounts to 2 euros per hour, billed to families. The last point discussed, and this within the framework of fire protection of the local pine forest, was membership in the departmental association of municipal fire and forest committees. This membership gives rise to an annual subscription of 550 euros.
