Ligue 1: Paris one breath away from the title after its big victory in Lorient

Thanks to doubles from Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé, SG dominated (4-1) at Moustoir on Wednesday in a late match of the 29th day of Ligue 1, which it could win if Monaco does not imitate it not against in the evening.

With now 69 points, PSG stands out very clearly from its runner-up Monaco and its 55 points. The Rocher club must win in a difficult match against Losc to maintain a semblance of suspense four days before the end of the championship.

Otherwise, the Parisians will be able to celebrate the title on the plane which will take them back to Paris at the end of the evening.

The opportunity was too good against one of the teams in difficulty at the moment, on the verge of relegation (17th). For its part, Paris was already in great shape, on the momentum of its euphoric qualification in Barcelona (4-1) for the semi-finals of the Champions League, where the team will face Dortmund next Wednesday, and the beating inflicted on on Sunday (4-1).

However, the Parisians initially skated, creating no chances in the first quarter of an hour when, on the other side of the field, Gédéon Kalulu struck above the goal of Gianluigi Donnarumma (7).

Five minutes later, Imrân Louza managed to cross back for Ayman Kari, on loan from PSG, who missed the target.

Paris was able to accelerate to calm the Breton enthusiasm, in three minutes. First, served by the Parisian “titi” Senny Mayulu, Ousmane Dembélé managed to refocus before adjusting from the left a low shot which left Yvon Mvogo (19th) no chance.

– Kylian and Ethan –

Dembélé, who has not always had the same composure in front of goal, even scored a fourth goal in his last three starts in the second half by taking a cross from Mbappé, who had cleared the hake defense with a dribble virtuoso in the left corner of the surface (60). Le Moustoir could not repress an exclamation of admiration.

The hat-trick was not far away when Dembélé saw his shot graze Mvogo’s right post (85th).

Senny Mayulu definitely scored points with Luis Enrique by sending a very nice pass to Kylian Mbappé, who managed to shift Nuno Mendes who returned a cross to him. The superstar, left on the bench on Sunday against Lyon, executed a Madjer to find the net (22nd).

Mbappé was initially deprived of a double by a beautiful save from Mvogo (72nd). However, he had the satisfaction of seeing his little brother Ethan enter immediately, to whom he almost made a decisive pass, without the intervention of Mvogo (84). Proof that in order to win a Ligue 1-C1 Cup treble, Luis Enrique knows how to be diplomatic, he who reduced Kylian Mbappé’s playing time as soon as his decision to leave the club in the summer was announced to the leaders.

“Kyky” finally got his double by curling his shot towards the far post (90th).

– Standout –

However, the Parisian defense once again gave in to its tendency to concede avoidable goals even when the capital club dominates. Donnarumma had already had to perform a feat to stop a slammed header from Tiémoué Bakayoko on his line from a corner (30th).

But he could do nothing on an even sharper header into the top corner from the incoming Mohamed Bamba (3-1, 73), which made the supporters scream with happiness. The same could have scored a double very quickly but was well countered by the Parisian rearguard. The atmosphere rose a notch and PSG had to demonstrate their technical mastery to bring out the balls under the increased pressure of the Merlus.

Two other entrants, Katseris and Bouanani, gave Donnarumma a scare (80, 88). Régis Le Bris’ men will be able to rely on this end of the match to try to save themselves from Ligue 2.

The Parisians once again demonstrated on Wednesday that this season, they are out of competition in Ligue 1, to the point of hoping to win it in April.
