“The hotel concierge is responsible for welcoming, providing information and advising customers (tourists, businessmen, etc.) in a luxury hotel (palaces, 4 or 5 star hotels). During their stay, he organizes all the material details with the hotel services.

He makes reservations (restaurant, show, car rental, plane ticket, etc.) and makes appointments (hairdresser, beautician, etc.), informs and advises customers on tourist activities. » On the Clefs d’Or website, the national president, Dimitri Ruiz (at Fouquet’s in ) even adds: “We often compare him to a James Bond capable of achieving the impossible. »

A little-known but extremely valuable profession, the hotel concierge is one of the very first contacts with customers in luxury hotels. Their profession has come together in an association, which awards Clefs d’Or each year to the most promising concierges.

Laurane Doucet, second woman in the region

has five concierges who have obtained this prize of excellence, including only one woman: Sandrine Nallet (head concierge of the Cour des Loges). This year (and this is exceptional), three Lyonnais were rewarded and will therefore join them: Julien Campioni (Villa Maïa) as well as Alexandre Gaulme and Laurane Doucet (both InterContinental Lyon). Laurane Doucet therefore becomes the second woman in the region to hold these famous keys of Saint-Pierre, a symbol of excellence in her field.
