The body of an 89-year-old woman was found lifeless in a private swimming pool located in a villa in Bioule, 20 km northeast of Montauban, in Tarn-et-Garonne. The police opened an investigation.

The body of an 89-year-old woman was discovered unconscious in a private swimming pool on Wednesday April 24 in Bioule, in Tarn-et-Garonne.
It was around 3:30 p.m. when the octogenarian’s family discovered the body floating in the pool. Alerted, the firefighters extracted the old lady from the water.
The medical team from Smur (Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation Structure) of Montauban also went to the scene to try to resuscitate the unfortunate woman. In vain. The emergency doctor can then only declare the death of the victim. The practitioner identified a medico-legal obstacle.
The police have opened an investigation to determine the cause of death. Criminal identification technicians (TIC) from Montauban were mobilized both to analyze the water in the swimming pool and to take samples from the woman’s remains.
According to the first elements collected, the victim who was depressed could have ended his life by throwing himself into the water.
The duty magistrate of the prosecution requested an autopsy of the body. At the beginning of the evening, the funeral directors took charge of the deceased to transport her to the medico-legal institute (IML) of Toulouse – Purpan.
