NBA legend Michael Jordan has been enjoying his time in the South of France for the past two months. He took the opportunity to attend the Champions League match between AS Monaco and FC Barcelona.
Michael Jordan is on (extended) vacation and he has chosen the Côte d’Azur. The NBA legend, who sold the majority of his shares in the Charlotte Hornets a year ago (for around three billion dollars), settled in the Var region at the beginning of July with his second wife and their children (two twins). MJ notably accompanied his daughters to go karting at a center in Six-Fours-les-Plages, as had been reported Be Matin two months ago.
If Michael Jordan is not necessarily a big football fan, “His Airness” arrived at Louis-II on Thursday evening for the match of
Champions League between AS Monaco and FC Barcelona. His wife also appeared on screen.
Michael Jordan knows Louis II well
Jordan has the Catalan city in his heart, since he obviously won the gold medal at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. But the famous “Dream Team” with Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Charles Barkley and Karl Malone had prepared their tournament in Monaco, with a friendly match against the French team (victory 111-71), in the sports hall of the same Louis-II stadium.
In addition to Prince Albert II of Monaco, who has experienced many memorable European evenings in the ASM den, Didier Deschamps and Ludovic Giuly, who live nearby, have taken their places in the stands. The coach of the French team led a superb Champions League epic with ASM in 2004, with Giuly as a star player, and the latter then played for the Blaugranas.
