The European crossroads agricultural production show, Space, will be held from September 17 to 19, at the Parc des Expositions in . We give you three good reasons to mark this date in your diary.

First, let's remember that Space aims to be the leading trade show for all sectors, in the heart of the Grand Ouest, a major livestock farming region in Europe. This year, 1,200 exhibitors will welcome nearly 100,000 visitors from more than 120 countries. The show hopes to provide solutions and food for thought to its participants to enable them to achieve their objectives thanks to all the technical expertise, innovations and conferences and debates that take place there.

This year, the Limousin breed will be in the spotlight, for suckler cattle, on Tuesday, September 17. Thursday, September 19 will be marked by the Challenge in Prim'Holstein breed. Ten other interregional competitions, genetic presentations and interbreed auctions will complete the cattle program.
As in 2023, the dairy and meat sales will be organized at different times. The sale of beef quality females will close the day on Tuesday, September 17, a day entirely dedicated to beef breeds. The Génomic Élite interbreed sale, for dairy and mixed breeds, will take place on Wednesday, September 18.
A total of 500 cattle from 13 different breeds will take part in the big ring during the three days of the show. Two hundred animals from 11 sheep and goat breeds will also be present.

To attend the conferences

Around twenty conferences will take place during the three days of the show. Among them, we will remember the one on Wednesday, September 18, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., entitled Keep up to date with the latest news in avian pathology, through a half-day of conferences given by veterinarians and researchers specializing in the field of poultry farming. This will be an opportunity to interact with a large number of poultry health professionals, in room 1, region.
On Wednesday, September 18, still from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., in room E, the Brittany Chamber of Agriculture is offering a conference on the Development of photovoltaics: photovoltaic doctrine of the Brittany Chamber of Agriculture, led by Fabrice Pivetau, Régis Le Carluer, Charlotte Quenard, from the Chamber of Agriculture, and Loïc Guines, president of the Chamber of Agriculture 35.
On Thursday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., in room I, the professional union Valoria will host a focus on the Valorization of agrifood co-products in animal feed, regulatory framework for co-products: how do the evolution of standards and regulations contribute to sustainable food by promoting agrifood co-products in livestock farming?

The space for tomorrow will once again be a very useful stage for visitors to the Space. Income, working conditions and hours, organization, delegation, production systems, skills to develop and mobilize…, all these axes will be covered in the space for tomorrow which, this year, has as its theme Livestock Generations: Let's invent tomorrow!
In this space, in Hall 3, specialists from the Chambers of Agriculture will host round tables and expert meetings to present technical solutions in order to exchange on good practices and offer a vision of the future to breeders and their employees.
The forum area will offer, every day, at 10:30 a.m., conferences and debates on the themes of: Attracting, transmitting skills and retaining employees, the keys to success?; Understanding each other between generations and To each his own project, his own trajectory!
