As every year, not everyone is ready to upgrade to the next system and launch into the final versions of iOS 18, iPadOS 18 or macOS 15. Some even prefer to wait for others to get the hang of it.

How not to download new systems?

Also Apple offers tonight new versions of iOS 17.7, iPadOS 17.7 and macOS 14.7. These last two will bring security fixes for the previous system. On your iPhone or iPad, just go to the Settings application > General > Software Update, both options should normally appear. On your Mac, just go to the Settings application System > General > Software Update

For those who don’t want automatic updatesthis is also where everything happens. In the Settings app > General > Software Update > Automatic Update > you arrive at a screen offering you the following choices that you can activate or not:

• Automatic installation: iOS updates, Security updates and system files,
• Automatic downloads: iOS updates

Obviously all the new features can be found in our various videos, starting with iOS 18 (the list is long, Apple has listed nearly 250 new functions, more or less important).

The iPad system is also getting a makeover with the arrival of Calculator app (finally) to be coupled with Math Notes, new functions for the Notes app, many possible customizations with a Control Center latest. The Photo app has been revamped!

On the macOS Sequoia side (System Settings > Software Update), you will find the new Passwords application, Math Notes, more responsive native applications (Safari, Mail, etc.), the ability to arrange your windows in tiles, new features on the Maps and Weather side, etc.
