Köthen. Norman Ritter is said to be dead. A TikTok profile called “rene.ritter73,” which appears to belong to Norman’s brother René Ritter, confirmed this on Thursday. Accordingly, Norman is said to have died on Wednesday, January 16th.

The user wrote on TikTok: “Whether ups or downs, the Köthen friends always stand by you, your brother Koile, I was with you the last few days.” (Editor’s note: Spelling of quotes adjusted) “I would have hoped that you would win the fight,” it continues. The user could be alluding to Ritter’s alcohol addiction.
Mother Karin Ritter died in January 2021 at the age of 66. Son Andy also died in 2023 at the age of 39.

“stern TV” shows unpublished recordings
The Ritter family from Köthen gained dubious fame in 1994 through a series of reports on stern TV. Camera teams followed the Ritters in their everyday lives for years.
