At Brussels Airport, at least 4 in 10 of the planned flights have been cancelled. The other flights are running as planned, although minor delays cannot be ruled out. Brussels Airport therefore asks travelers to arrive at the airport on time.
A large number of baggage handlers and security staff are taking part in the industrial action and therefore many flights are being canceled or rescheduled.
The airlines will inform passengers of the flights involved directly about this, the airport reports. Passengers are also advised to closely monitor the status of their flight and check it again before leaving for the airport.
Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport on time: 2 hours in advance for a flight within the Schengen zone and 3 hours in advance for a flight outside the Schengen zone.
