The former Girondins de Bordeaux striker now a consultant, Christophe Dugarryon RMC, spoke about the level between Paris Saint-Germain and its runner-up, Olympique de Marseille.
“No OM player would start at Paris Saint-Germain. Even Rabiot, I'm not even sure about it anymore… What's good is that OM is progressing, and the coach seems to be satisfied. We learn these lessons today, and to the question of whether Marseille is better… We say that after two victories against Saint-Etienne, one of the weakest teams in the championship, and therefore Le Havre, which in my opinion is the weaker. Le Havre was simply distressing. Marseille must have results but also must create something, a style of play, must bring its audience… For the moment, yes, there are things which are progressing, which are being done, and the coach is still learning to discover his effective. There is a whole mechanism that is being put in place.”

“But I think that for the moment, we are still very far from the goal. OM benefits from its position of second in the championship because there is a big weakness in the championship. Now, when I see the team composition of the last match… If the best of OM are those to compete with PSG, we are far from the mark… We cannot start from that to say that the gap will restrict yourself, no… not with that. For the moment, I don’t see any real progress.”
