On January 7, 2015, the Chérif brothers and Saïd Kouachi entered the offices of the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo at 10 rue Nicolas-Appert, in the XIe district of . The two terrorists kill 12 people including journalists and cartoonists Cabu, Wolinski, Charb, Tignous, Honoré, Bernard Maris et Elsa Cayat. The event marks a turning point in and provokes a major outcry in defense of press freedom and freedom of expression. The “Je suis Charlie” movement was born.

Ten years after the tragedy, numerous published or republished works appeared to maintain the memory and pay tribute to the victims. Weekly offers a non-exhaustive list of these titles published or to be published:

  • Still so stupid! : 10 years alreadyof Cabu with a preface by crack and an afterword by Pierre Drachline et Philippe Héraclès (Le recherche midi), published January 2, 2025: reissue of a collection of caricatures taken from previous publications. They make fun of racism, the extreme right, religions, fanaticism, polluters, social exclusion, death, terrorism, sexuality and politicians. This edition includes more than 50 previously unpublished drawings.

  • Happiness is a jobof George Wolinski (Glénat), published on January 2: a selection of 60 years of texts, drawings and comic strips in which the journalist from Charlie Hebdo is told, thus forming an autobiography.
  • Madly in love, by Georges Wolinski (Le recherche midi), published on January 2: new edition of the author's work on the occasion of the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the attacks of Charlie Hebdo. A collection of unpublished drawings which celebrate women and love through the incisive and humorous style of the murdered designer.
  • Hold the line: 40 drawings for Charlie (2015-2025)prefaced by Jean-Noël Jeanneney et Sis (Gallimard) published on January 2, 2025: in partnership with Cartooning for Peace, the publisher is publishing a collection of tribute drawings in the Tract/Gallimard collection.
  • My brother, jihad, Daesh and me, of Magali Serre et Fatma A. (Seuil), published on January 3, 2025: the story of Fatma, whose brother, Boubaker el Hakim, was considered the highest French executive of Daesh by the anti-terrorist services. Killed by an American drone strike in 2016, he was one of the main perpetrators of the attacks of November 13, 2015 in Paris. The young woman recounts how this brother took his entire family with him, except her.
  • Charlie Liberty: the diary of their lifefrom a collective of authors (Les escapeds), published on December 5: ten years after the attack which plunged the editorial staff of Charlie Hebdothe portraits and careers of deceased designers and editors are highlighted. The works of Cabu, Charb, Honore, Tignous, Wolinski, Elsa Cayat et Bernard Maris are thus presented and explained.

  • I don't know how to draw, of Guy Konopnicki (Le Condottière), to be published on January 9: the journalist returns to the attack of January 7, 2015 perpetrated within the editorial staff of Charlie Hebdo who cost the lives of his friends, including the designer Tignous with whom he collaborated. He attempts to recreate the events as he experienced them, embellishing his story with reflections on the history of the satirical press or the interaction between text and drawing.
  • Charlism told to those who loved Charlieof Daniel Schneidermann (Seuil), to be published on January 10: on the occasion of ten years since the 2015 attack, the author pays tribute to the founders of the newspaper Charlie Hebdowhile questioning the posterity of his spirit, embodied by journalists, editorialists or comedians.
