The Fnac des Champs-Élyséesan emblematic Parisian cultural store opened in 1997, is preparing to bow out. Located at 74 of the most famous avenue in the world, this legendary place will permanently close its doors on Sunday January 12, 2025. Before that, a large clearance sale will be organized from Friday January 3 to Sunday January 12 to liquidate stocks and offer customers one last chance to take advantage of great deals.
The decision to close the Fnac des Champs-Élysées takes place in a difficult economic context. The group Fnac Darty pointed out several factors: exorbitant rent, a drop in sales linked to the decline in local customers, and a gradual transformation of the Champs-Élysées into a mecca for luxury retail. These constraints made maintaining the store economically unsustainable.
After this closure, the remaining 89 employees will be reclassified in other stores of the group in Île-de-France or elsewhere.
