Nostalgia when you hold us! The Bigdil the emblematic game hosted by Vincent Lagaf' made its comeback on Thursday January 2 at 9:10 p.m. on RMC Story twenty years after its stop on TF1.
And we don't change a formula that works: Bill the extraterrestrial, the blunders, the gimmicks that punctuate the game, all the ingredients that made the game successful on TF1 are there. The production took care not to change anything from the original version, according to the wishes of the animator who wanted to find the original setting and mechanics.
It will cut
Asked by Le Figarothe host did not hide his enthusiasm: “I find The Bigdil as I loved it, as I created it, as the entire initial team took the trouble to make it. This is exactly what I wanted. Honestly, I couldn't dream of anything better and I don't know if I'll do anything else afterwards. As Hervé Hubert, the first producer of Bigdil, said: “We are not immune to success”, a phrase that I love. If we manage to make a nice hit with this thing, I think I’ll stop.”
If Lagaf' insisted to the production that the game return to its original version, he still had to adapt to the times and adjust certain aspects of his animation: “The producer came to see me and explained that he was going to have to cut a lot of things. When I use a Portuguese accent, it's not to make fun of the Portuguese, it's what I've been doing for 40 years. Today, if you use an Arab accent, you are called racist, but not if you use a Quebec accent. That's terribly hypocritical. I stopped watching TV, but I haven't changed. So I force myself to adapt, because I don't want to give fodder to people looking for controversy. »
