Like Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+, Canal+ and its myCanal streaming platform are spoiling their subscribers at the start of the year with numerous films, series and documentaries added to its catalog in January 2025.

As usual, as a preamble to the presentation of new programs from Canal+ and myCanal in January, here is, in our opinion, the film and series of the month on the streaming service.
The Canal+ series of the month
Severance – Saison 2
Mark Scout works for Lumon Industries, where he leads a team whose employees undergo surgery to separate their work-related memories from those of their personal lives. This risky experiment in work-life balance is challenged when Mark finds himself at the heart of a mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his job…and his own.
Improbable and brilliant mix between The Office et Black Mirror, Severance was one of the nice surprises and best series of 2022. An Apple TV+ program that never ceases to surprise and shock us with each episode, thanks to its strange and mysterious universe. This awaited season 2 is obviously unmissable.
From January 17 on Apple TV+, Canal+ and myCanal.

The Canal+ film of the month
Le Comte de Monte Cristo
Victim of a conspiracy, young Edmond Dantès is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit. After fourteen years of detention at the Château d'If, he managed to escape. Having become immensely rich, he returns under the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo to take revenge on the three men who betrayed him.
Pierre Niney (Black box, Yves Saint Laurent) is brilliant as Edmond Dantes in this grandiose adaptation of the Alexandre Dumas classic. From the sets to the costumes, through careful writing and the excellent acting of each of the actors involved in the film, this Comte de Monte Cristo is a success all round. To see (or rewatch) without delay.
From January 3 on Canal+ and myCanal.
