A fatal accident took place on January 1 in Toulouse, involving a bus and a car. Despite the intervention of emergency services, the driver of the car did not survive.
A dramatic road accident took place this Wednesday, January 1, on Chemin de Tucaut, in the town of Toulouse. Emergency services intervened shortly after 10:30 a.m. on a collision between a Tisséo network bus and a car, in the Saint-Simon area. When they arrived on site, the Haute-Garonne firefighters had to intervene to extricate the driver from the car, who was in an absolute emergency.
Despite the care provided by members of Samu 31 and around ten members of the Haute-Garonne departmental fire and rescue service, the driver of the car died as a result of his injuries. The bus driver was slightly injured and was treated by rescuers. Traffic was completely cut off in the area for several minutes so that emergency services could intervene. Police were on site to determine the exact circumstances of this first fatal accident of the year.
